Dr. Noel Brown is President of Friends of the United Nations. Previously, he served as Director of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), North American Regional Office. Dr. Brown is also a founding member of the Aspen Global Change Institute and the International Council for Local Environment Issues, Chairman of the Rene Dubos Center for Human Environments, and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Global Rivers Environmental Educational Network, the Climate Institute, the Earth Communications Office, the Rainforest Alliance, Global Education Associates, Trust for the Americas.
Dr. Brown holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics, an M.A. in International Law and Organization, and a Ph.D. in International Law and Relations. He has been honored with the 1998 World Academy of Arts and Science for Distinguished Public Service.

Sir Janantilal (Andy) K. Chande, KBE

Born in Kenya, Sir Chande was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Management and of the Chartered Management Institute in England. He is also a member of the World Business Academy, a consulting for World Innovation Foundation, and the director of the Institute for Environmental Innovation.
Sir Chande is presently a trustee of the Rotary Foundation of Illinois, USA and the Chairman of the Rotary Foundation of the United Kingdom. A former member of Parliament in Tanzania, he has served on the country’s Executive Council – the highest governing organ. He is currently Chairman of Tanzania Railways Corporation and of Barclays Bank Tanzania. Sir Chande served eight years as Chairman of the Tanzania Tourist Corporation. He is presently the Chancellor of the International Medical and Technological University in Dar es Salaam.

Feisol Hashim

Mr. Hashim has been involved in the tourism industry for the pat 30 years.  He is presently holding the following public offices: President, Indonesian Marine Tourism Association; Chairman, International Relations and Marketing Committee, Indonesia Tourism Council; Chairman, Advisory Council, Bali Tourism Council; and Deputy Chairman, Indonesia Tourism Promotion Board.  As well, Feisol has served since 2005 as President, ASEAN Marine Tourism Council and has been a PATA Board Member from 1999, in addition to being President of AHRA (ASEAN hotel association) during 1999-2000 and appointed by the Malaysian government as Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Bali in 2005.
His current private sector positions include:  Chairman and President Director, JPU - a holding company for hotels, beach & island resorts, travel and tour agencies, spas, restaurants and property development; Chairman, MD Communications; and Deputy Chairman, Putri Naga Komodo, which in a joint venture with the Nature Conservancy, is managing the Komodo National Park in a first-time initiative negotiated with the Republic of Indonesia that approved the private sector to manage a National Park.

Hon. Patrick Kalifungwa, MP

Hon. Kalifungwa held the former position of Cabinet Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources from 2003 to 2005, while also serving as President of the Africa Travel Association, and, as well, was the former Deputy Minister of Finance in the Ministry of Finance and National Planning in 2002.  In addition to serving as a Member of Parliament in the Republic of Zambia since 1996, he has performed as Parliamentary Committee Chairman of the Economic Affairs and Labour Committee and the Budget Committee.  His was Chief Executive Office in 1989 at Parfent Marketing.  Since completing a MBA, Hon. Kalifungwa is now pursuing a doctorate degree, and operating as President of Superior Tours and Safari Ltd Zambia.
