Dr. Noel Brown, President, Friends of the United Nations

Dr. Noel Brown

Dr. Noel Brown is President of Friends of the United Nations. Previously, he served as Director of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), North American Regional Office. Dr. Brown is also a founding member of the Aspen Global Change Institute and the International Council for Local Environment Issues, Chairman of the Rene Dubos Center for Human Environments, and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Global Rivers Environmental Educational Network, the Climate Institute, the Earth Communications Office, the Rainforest Alliance, Global Education Associates, Trust for the Americas.
Dr. Brown holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics, an M.A. in International Law and Organization, and a Ph.D. in International Law and Relations. He has been honored with the 1998 World Academy of Arts and Science for Distinguished Public Service.

H.E. Senator Akel Biltaji, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Akel Biltaji

H.E. Senator Akel Biltaji is Special Advisor to His Majesty King Abdullah II of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In 2001, HM King Abdullah appointed him as Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), a world-class Red Sea business hub and leisure destination. In February 2004 HM appointed Mr. Biltaji as his advisor for country branding, tourism promotion, interfaith and foreign investment.

Sir Janantilal (Andy) K. Chande, KBE

Sir Andy (J.K.) Chande

Born in Kenya, Sir Chande was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Management and of the Chartered Management Institute in England. He is also a member of the World Business Academy, a consulting for World Innovation Foundation, and the director of the Institute for Environmental Innovation.
Sir Chande is presently a trustee of the Rotary Foundation of Illinois, USA and the Chairman of the Rotary Foundation of the United Kingdom. A former member of Parliament in Tanzania, he has served on the country’s Executive Council – the highest governing organ. He is currently Chairman of Tanzania Railways Corporation and of Barclays Bank Tanzania. Sir Chande served eight years as Chairman of the Tanzania Tourist Corporation. He is presently the Chancellor of the International Medical and Technological University in Dar es Salaam.

Feisol Hashim


Mr. Hashim has been involved in the tourism industry for the pat 30 years.  He is presently holding the following public offices: President, Indonesian Marine Tourism Association; Chairman, International Relations and Marketing Committee, Indonesia Tourism Council; Chairman, Advisory Council, Bali Tourism Council; and Deputy Chairman, Indonesia Tourism Promotion Board.  As well, Feisol has served since 2005 as President, ASEAN Marine Tourism Council and has been a PATA Board Member from 1999, in addition to being President of AHRA (ASEAN hotel association) during 1999-2000 and appointed by the Malaysian government as Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Bali in 2005.
His current private sector positions include:  Chairman and President Director, JPU - a holding company for hotels, beach & island resorts, travel and tour agencies, spas, restaurants and property development; Chairman, MD Communications; and Deputy Chairman, Putri Naga Komodo, which in a joint venture with the Nature Conservancy, is managing the Komodo National Park in a first-time initiative negotiated with the Republic of Indonesia that approved the private sector to manage a National Park.

Hon. Patrick Kalifungwa, MP

Patrick Kalifungwa

Hon. Kalifungwa held the former position of Cabinet Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources from 2003 to 2005, while also serving as President of the Africa Travel Association, and, as well, was the former Deputy Minister of Finance in the Ministry of Finance and National Planning in 2002.  In addition to serving as a Member of Parliament in the Republic of Zambia since 1996, he has performed as Parliamentary Committee Chairman of the Economic Affairs and Labour Committee and the Budget Committee.  His was Chief Executive Office in 1989 at Parfent Marketing.  Since completing a MBA, Hon. Kalifungwa is now pursuing a doctorate degree, and operating as President of Superior Tours and Safari Ltd Zambia.

Anastasia Mann, Chairman/CEO, Corniche Travel Group

Anastasia Mann

Anastasia Mann is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Corniche Group, Inc. a corporate and leisure travel management, tourism and hotel marketing consultation, and meeting and event planning, as well as entertainment personal management services.
Mrs. Mann’s was part of the international board of directors of the Travel & Tourism Research Association; past-president of Southern California chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International; founding member of Meetings Professionals International; board member of Pacific Asia Travel Association- Los Angeles; member of International PATA’s first Marketing Committee; founding chairman of the West Hollywood Visitor’s and Convention Bureau; long-standing member of the West Hollywood, Hollywood & California Chambers of Commerce; California representative to the White House Conference on Tourism (Clinton Administration); sole tourism representative on the Trade Mission to Soviet Union (GHW Bush administration); Hollywood Arts Council governor;  President of SKAL International - Los Angeles. She was also recently named the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year by the California Travel Industry.

John Marks, (former) President and CEO, San Francisco CVB

John Marks

Mr. Marks is the former President and CEO of the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau. Marks was President and CEO of the Phoenix & Valley of the Sun Convention & Visitors Bureau. He held posts as Chief Executive of the Arizona Office of Tourism, the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce and on the staff of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
A sought after speaker, he was twice named as one of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry by Meeting News magazine. He received the 1998 American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Key Award, the highest award in association management, for outstanding achievements and leadership.

Kenneth N. May, Chairman and CEO, RCI Global Vacation Network

Kenneth N. May is the Chairman and CEO of the RCI Global Vacation Network. Prior to his appointment as head of VNG in 2005, Mr. May served five years as President and CEO of RCI. 
Mr. May spent more than 25 years in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Latin America managing companies dealing with consumer packaged goods, banking and tourism. Mr. May received his bachelor's degree from Middlebury College in Russian Language and Literature and earned his master's degree in Business Administration from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management.

Juston Parker, President and CEO, Parker Hospitality Group, Inc. and Executive Vice president, Gusto, LLC.

Juston Parker is an experienced performer in the hospitality industry
As a published author on the subject of Revenue Management, Juston has been interviewed and/or quoted on CNN, Yahoo Finance, and Fox News, as well as featured in publications around the world ranging from HSMAI, to Thailand Hospitality, University of Florida, and Event Solutions to name a few.

Tom Nutley, Chairman, Reed Travel Exhibitions

Tom Nutley is Chairman of Reed Travel Exhibitions, organizers of worldwide travel and meetings industry events. Prior to joining Reed in 1982, he spent three years as Hall Manager of the Brighton Exhibition Centre.
Since 1992, Mr. Nutley has been responsible for the development of travel events worldwide.

Michael Stolowitzky, President and CEO, American Tourism Society

Mr. Stolowitzky is the President and CEO of ATS, a non-profit, non-political destination marketing organization founded in 1989.
Prior to becoming President and CEO of ATS, Mr. Stolowitzky was Director of International Business Development for American Express and continues as a Consultant to American Express Vacations.

Kathy Sudeikis, President and CEO, American Society of Travel Agents

Kathy Sudeikis

Kathryn W. Sudeikis is the vice president of corporate relations for All About Travel in Mission, Kansas, and was inducted as ASTA’s National President and CEO on Oct. 1, 2004. She is currently serving on Travel Agent Advisory Boards for Classic Vacations, the German National Tourist Office, Rail Europe, Thrifty Car Rental and Viking River Cruises. Mrs. Sudeikis has consulted on a variety of boards including: The American Express Travel Agent Advisory Board, The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, Disney Attractions and the State of the Maine. She appeared in Travel Agent magazine’s “100 Most Powerful Women” in travel.
An accomplished speaker, Mrs. Sudeikis has addressed groups at many industry events, including the National Tour Association (NTA), the Travel Industry Association of America (TIA), the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and the Travel Agent Associations of India, South Africa, Australia and Germany.

Robert Zimmer, President, Zimmer Group International

Robert Zimmer

Mr. Zimmer is co-founder of Zimmer Associates International.  His design legacy is evident in luxury properties around the world, including the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, the St. Andrews Old Course Hotel in Scotland, The Anasazi in Santa Fe, The Mansion On Turtle Creek in Dallas, The Machu Picchu Conservation Lodge in Peru, and the Pebble Beach and Tennis Club in California. 
From 1979 to 1988, Mr. Zimmer was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rosewood Hotels, Inc., a hotel organization whose properties are described as extraordinarily innovative.  As Rosewood CEO, he had total responsibility for the development and operation of all of Rosewoods projects and is acknowledged as the creative force behind their success.
